Elizabeth Meggs presented her paintings in a solo show titled “Paintings: Elizabeth Meggs,” at Sweet Lorraine Gallery Oct. 1- 29, 2009 in Brooklyn. She also opened her art studio to the public in two Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition (BWAC) Open Studios in 2009. She served as a juror for the Annual Philip B. Meggs Design Excellence Award for the Richmond Society of Illustrators in both 2008 and 2009. She served as a panel member twice for the 2009 Young Urban Philosophers’ Series: “Exploring the Seven Deadly Sins in Literature” and “Exploring Virtue in Literature.”
