Professor Marsha Morton has been awarded a Summer Stipend from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The grant will fund research in Germany for the last chapter of her book, “Between Darwin and Freud: Max Klinger and the Construction of German Modernism.” The chapter will explore Klinger’s images of gender and social inequality in Wilhelmine Berlin. Professor Morton will be visiting archives and libraries in Berlin, Leipzig, and Naumberg.
