Diana Gisolfi has just returned from the Renaissance Society of America
meeting in San Diego. She organized and chaired a session on
“Renaissance Verona”, in which our MS/MS alumna Hillary Thompson spoke
on the library room at San Bernardino in Verona, linking the painted
decorations of 1503 with the book arrangement.For the College Art
Association meeting in NY Gisolfi organized and chaired a session on
“Disegno” in which one of the speakers was Il Kim of the art history
department, speaking on Nicolas of Cusa’s theology connecting creation
and drawing/painting. In relation to the exhibition “Paolo Veronese: a
Master and his Shop in Renaissance Venice”, Sarasota, December -April,
Gisolfi served as a consultant, wrote a lead article for the catalog,
and took part in the opening and study day.
