Professor Marsha Morton recently gave a lecture, “Picturing the Perils of Finance Capitalism: German Illustrators and the 1873 Crash,” at the conference “The Illustrator as Public Intellectual” sponsored by the Illustration Research Network at the Rhode Island School of Design.  The event took place on November 5-7.  Professor Morton’s talk focused on the images in the satirical Berlin weekly, Kladderadatsch.
