The History of Art and Design department in partnership with the History of Art and Design Student Association are proud to present a second lecture this fall, bringing this semester’s series to a close.
The lecture entitled, Andrew Wyeth’s Black Paintings will focus on the intersections of race, class, and sexuality within American Art.
Gwendolyn DuBois Shaw is an associate professor of Art History at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to independent curating, her areas of instruction and research include issues in Women and Gender Studies, Cinema Studies, and Africana Studies.
The lecture will be held in Higgins Hall on the Pratt Brooklyn campus, at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, October 5th. Doors open at 6PM.
