Announcing EscapeRoom, an exhibition curated by Professor Kim Bobier and opening on February 23, 2024 at the University of Virginia’s Ruffin Gallery

Kim Bobier, Adjunct Assistant Professor at Pratt’s Department of History of Art and Design, and Marisa Williamson, Assistant Professor of Studio Art at University of Virginia, curated an exhibition of recent artworks. The University of Virginia (UVA) is a site of reckoning. The legacies of slavery and white supremacy reverberate throughout its built environment. EscapeRoom confronts frameworks of injustice that contemporary audiences inhabit and inherit in relation to this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
