On October 10th the class HAD425 Contemporary International Cinema took a trip to the New York Film Festival with Professor Maria Vinogradova.
The class saw Atlantics by the French-Senegalese director Mati Diop, and after that attended her 90-minute director’s talk.
With Diop’s background as a visual artist (she never went to film school and this is her first feature) this movie is very relevant to Pratt’s students.
