Professor Diana Gisolfi presented a paper entitled “Chiara Varotari” at the Renaissance Society of America conference in Dublin on March 31. Her paper contributes to an ongoing project of Save Venice, launched in the RSA session, on the study of women artists of Venice (including the surrounding Stato di Terra of the Venetian Republic).
On March 8, Gisolfi was the speaker at the Columbia University Renaissance Seminar. Her presentation was on “Cinquecento Facade Frescoes of Venice and Descriptions of Ancient Painted Exteriors”.
