Professor Diaz will be Speaking at the MoMA Forum on Contemporary Photography

On February 16, 2010 curators Roxana Marcoci and Eva Respini co-founded the Forums on Contemporary Photography at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. The function of these events has been to engage amongst artists, curators, and cultural theorists in expansive commentaries and productive debates about the perspectives and scope of still and moving images and other forms of picture-making and transmission.

Former sessions have ranged from such topics as “Photographic Representations and Colonial Discourses” to “What Makes Contemporary Photography Feminist and Queer?”The upcoming Forum is an open-ended, special anniversary edition.

Please join the MoMA to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Forums, which will take place on Thursday, April 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, in MoMA’s Founders Room. A group of artists and scholars will discuss some of the leading issues they see happening in photography in the 2020s.
